I started with Photography in 1984 and specializing in Weddings and Sport. Since 1996 I have been full time professional residing from Bloemfontein South Africa.
Regarding sport I specializes in swimming, soccer and rugby but also got interests in other sports seen that I have studied physical training in the early eighties. This knowledge of various sports has come to my benefit many times over the years.
My photos have been published in all the major Newspapers and Magazines in South Africa and abroad specially in the UK, USA, France, Australia and New Zealand. Over 30 of these photos have been used as front covers on magazines.
Recent major events covered were the;
2009 ICC Champions Trophy Cricket
2009 Confederations Cup soccer
2009 IPL Cricket
2009 British Irish Lions rugby tour
2009 Fina Arena Short Course World Cup Swimming Gala
2009 Tri Nations Rugby Tournament.
2010 Tri Nations Rugby Tournament
2010 FIFA World Cup Soccer/Football
2011 Tri Nations Rugby Tournament
Regarding weddings, I did my first wedding in 1991 and since then covered over 500 weddings. If I can pinpoint one characteristic of my wedding images it is that I prefer the unposed/natural photos rather than the formal posed type of photos. To achieve this I make use of telephoto lenses like the Nikon 300mm F2.8 and the Nikon 85mm F1.4. This produces nice clean uncluttered out of focus backgrounds that give a natural feel to the images.
I see a wedding as the bride and the bridegrooms day, and therefore for them to enjoy. The photo sessions makes a big part of the day and I always try my utmost best to make sure they enjoy every moment of it and also ensure them of stylish,timeless memories for life.
