There is just one trick to get the sharp images the pros get and it is a combination of things. The most important is shooting on a tripod. This is the one single thing that separates the pros from the amateurs. Keeping the camera still and steady is a tripods only job. But, then, when it comes to tripods, some do the job better than others. That’s why you don’t skimp on quality.

Now, when you buy a good quality tripod, that’s just what you get. It doesn’t come with a tripod head affixed. this you’ll have to buy separately. Here a ballhead are wonderful, because with one knob you can aim and position your camera accurately at any angle. Best of all, good ballheads keep your camera locked down tight to keep your camera from sliding one way or the other after you set up the shot. Like tripods, a good ballhead don’t come cheap.
